A Nexus letter, also known as an Independent Medical Opinion (IMO), is a crucial document for veterans seeking VA disability benefits. It provides a medical professional's opinion connecting a veteran's current health condition to their military service or to a pre-existing condition that was aggravated by military service. Nexus letters start at $600.
Essential for VA Claims
Service Connection Requirement
To receive VA disability compensation, veterans must establish "service connection" - proving their current disability is related to their military service. A well-written Nexus letter can be the difference between claim approval and denial.
Expert Medical Opinion
Veterans often struggle to prove the connection between their current symptoms and events that occurred years or decades ago during military service. A Nexus letter provides the medical expertise to bridge this gap.
